Meditaion is what we're talking about, now don't let the word scare you. A lot of people think they can't get into mediation, it's too hard, it takes too much time. Actually, big gains can be received by doing frequent meditation. Here's how to make 5 minutes count:
1. Set a timer for 5 minutes, this way, your mind won't be distracted worrying about the time.
2. Play healing music.
3. Close your eyes and relax. Take a few deep breaths from your diaphragm, this will help relieve tension from your body.
4. Clear your mind. Don't try too hard, just let whatever thoughts come into your mind, then let them go.
5. Find what time of day works for you, it may be first thing in the morning. It may be sometime during the day or at the end of the day. Whatever works, try meditation daily to relieve stress.
Over time, you may want to try a time of day for a 20 minute meditations a few times a week. If you cannot find 20 minutes at one time, you may want to try doing the 5 minute meditation a few times a day.
