BUNCOMBE COUNTY,NC -- A 17-year-old is in trouble, facing charges as an adult.

Tyler Ashby is in jail, no longer considered a juvenile, as the judge has decided to charge him as an adult. He allegedly fired a gun in the area near his home. This charge is "going armed to the terror of the people."

Other charges, resisting a public officer three times, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of a stolen firearm.

Ashby's FaceBook page looks like most teenager's pages. Pictures of Ashby and his girlfriend, some selfies, him fishing.

What stands out is the cover photo, which is of Ashby, standing there playing on his high school baseball team. He was a pitcher on the TC Roberson baseball team. He injured his arm and was no longer able to play, and later dropped out of school.

Ashby is held on a $55,000 bond.
