U.S. Army Reserve Colonel Charged with Child Abuse

FAYETTVILLE -- Terry Dione Lindon, 51, was charged with misdemeanor child abuse.

 


Lindon allegedy punched his 12-year-old son several times in the parking lot of a restaurant in March.

A court date is scheduled next week in Cumberland County District Court next week.

Lindon was a civil affairs colonel at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School at Fort Bragg. He left the unit in April.

He was deployed in 2008 to Afghanistan. Lindon is now in the process of retiring from the Army.
