Heather and Rex Cochran, wanted in North Dakota for child abuse, were in Haywood County when an emergency custody order was issued. The couple fled with the baby. The baby was found safe.

We were glad, not knowing what we were dealing with, and to be able to find the baby and it safe and be able to get it and take it where it needs to go. It was a great feeling when the law enforcement agencies came together to be able to find the young child," Henderson County Sheriff's Maj. Frank Stout said.

At this time, it is not know if the people that in the Fletcher home will face charges.

The Cochrans may be extradited to North Dakota.
