Haywood County -- A man from Sylva is behind bars, facing multiple charges after breaking into a Clyde home on November 12 around 6 p.m.
Hunter Lee Lewis, 21, broke into the home, took the woman's cell phone and kept her and two children captive, for four hours. During that time, Lewis held a knife to the throat of five month pregnant Ammaretta Revis. Lewis also punched and choked her. He punched one of the children, 10, in the face.
Lewis had drug pending charges, breaking and entering , and resisting a public officer in Jackson County. He is held at the Haywood County Detention Center under a $42,500 bond. He has a date to appear in court November 29.
