On Monday afternoon, May 22, 2018 at about 3:00pm, the Hendersonville Police Department responded to a call for service for a possible narcotics overdose at an apartment on Main Street in Hendersonville. The individual experiencing the overdose was transported to Pardee Hospital. This person did not survive the results of the narcotics overdose. The official identity of the deceased is being withheld pending the notification of appropriate next of kin.
During the investigation, HPD Detectives identified a suspect that sold the narcotics to the deceased person. Based on our investigation, HPD Detectives, with assistance from the Henderson County SWAT team, executed a high-risk search warrant at 168 Cedar Bluff Drive in Hendersonville.
During the execution of the search warrant, a significant amount of narcotics was seized. The suspected narcotics seller was apprehended. This suspect has been identified as Raymond Ortiz Flores, 29 years old of Hendersonville.
As a result of the search warrant Mr. Flores has been charged with Trafficking in Heroin, Trafficking in Methamphetamines, Possession with the Intent of Sale and Distribution of Schedule IV narcotics, Possession of Schedule VI narcotics, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is currently being held at the Henderson County Detention Center in lieu of a $46,000.00 secured bond.
