Supreme Court Rejects Appeal of North Carolina Voter ID Law

WASHINGTON -- This morning the Supreme Court rejected the appeal to reinstate North Carolina's voter identification law.

The law was was said by a lower court to target African-Americans "with almost surgical precision" 

The lower court's ruling which struck down the law's photo ID requirement and als reduced early voting.

The new Democratic Governor Roy Cooper and Attorney General Josh Stein had tried to withdraw the appeal, which was filed under the former governor, Republican Pat McCrory,
