Fake Photo: Emma Gonzalez Did Not Tear Up the U.S. Constitution

Just as in the real world, don't believe everything you hear, we need to keep that in mind in the online world, along with everything you see or read. I confirm what I am going to talk about online or share.

Many times I go to Snopes to fact check.

An example of this is the photo of Emma Gonzalez, a Parkland school student "ripping up the U.S. Constitution."

CLAIM
Emma González, a survivor of the Parkland school shooting, was filmed ripping up a copy of the U.S. Constitution.

RATING

FALSE

As multiple sources pointed out, however, these images were digitally manipulated versions of ones taken in conjunction with a TeenVogue op-ed by Emma González about gun control, the originals of which showed González tearing up shooting range targets, not a copy of the U.S. Constitution

Educate yourself, share what you learn with your children. We all need to take responsiblity our own words and actions.

The online world is full of fun facts, real facts, real photos, love,a great learning tool, but also filled with lies, photo shopped photos, hate, spiteful, mean rumors.

Most people wouldn't act like they do or react the way they do in the real world, the way they do in the "online world."

Since more of what we do, say and share online is known, more than what we do in the real world, we need to keep this in mind and be responsible.
