Asheville -- January 19, 2023: Asheville Police announced the following on yesterday:  Around 9:26 p.m. on January 17,
2023, police were called to a report

of an armed robbery at a company on Westgate Parkway.

Officers were informed by a staff member that the man left the store carrying goods, brandishing a knife when confronted, and then escaped on foot. Police officers looked about, but they were unable to find the individual.

Officers are hoping someone may identify the individual after further investigation led them to video footage showing the suspect leaving the establishment before they arrived. Do not approach the suspect since he is armed and potentially dangerous.

Today, the police announced they were able to identify the man as Jacob Harrison Alexander.
They thanked the public for their help in identifying Alexander and asks for anyone with information to do so,
