Robeson County, NC Sheriff's Office -- On May 5, 2019 around 2:00 p.m., Robeson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jonathan Martin Oliver, 27, of 9663 Hwy 41 S. Fairmont.

Oliver is charged with first degree murder, first degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon. The charges are in relations to the homicide of Annie Grace Davis, 78, of 70 Primrose Dr., Fairmont.

On May 5, 2019 at approximately 5:15 a.m., Robeson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 70 Primrose Dr., Fairmont in reference to an alarm call. Davis was found inside of her residence deceased when the deputies arrived. Davis appeared to have been stabbed during the burglary.

Oliver grew up in the community and was familiar with Davis.

Sheriff Burnis Wilkins states that solving cases requires community involvement and this case is a perfect example. Community involvement was critical in the agency’s ability to make a swift arrest in Davis’ homicide.

Oliver is being held in the Robeson County Detention Center without a bond.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division is investigating the death of Davis. Robeson County Sheriff’s Office newly developed K9 unit assisted in the investigation. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 671-3170.
