Search is Ongoing in Surfside Building Collapse

Surfside Building Collapse -- Monday, June 28, 2021 -- Wnctimes is providing updates and photographs of the ongoing search.

Mayor Daniella Levine Cava posted the following to her Facebook page Sunday, June 27, 2021

"Earlier today I visited the collapsed building with our National FEMA Director, Deanne Criswell. It’s heartbreaking – but watching our men and women searching the rubble without stopping reaffirmed just how lucky we are to have the best in the world on this mission."


Maimi - Dade Fire Rescue posted the following on Facebook June 27, 2021

#UPDATE 29: We have identified four additional victims that sadly and unexpectedly lost their lives in the tragic Surfside building collapse. Please keep their families and loved ones in your prayers.


There are about 159 people missing from the 12-story building collapse. 

Rescuers are digging through the rubble, the last survivor was found the morning of the collapse.

Wnctimes will continue to bring updates as they become available.
