Champlain Towers South Surfside Condo Collapse -- Update July 6, 2021 13th day following the collapse

Miami-Dade Mayor Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said at a press conference today that of the 113 people unaccounted for, only around 70 of those are people we have been able to confirm were in fact in the building during the collapse." Four more bodies were found, bringing the death toll to 32 people.

Two people ar hospitalized in the Jackson Health System. according to the health system's spokesperson. Due to privacy concerns, no further information can be provided.

There is concern about the building, Champlain Towers North, both buildings were built at the same time by the same developer.

Recovery work is ongoing and the death toll is expected to climb.
