CANTON-- Today's Throw Back Thursday is Canton! Well, actually, the Colonial Theater in Canton.

Did you know that the theater is listed in the National Register of Historic Places? The Colonial Theater was built  in 1932, it is a historic movie theater.

It is also located in the Canton Main Street Historic District.

It was renovated in 1992 and then again in 2006, after the town was flooded.

Now, movies are shown in the theater, stage productions, weddings, business conferences and other events.

Even with the renovations, when you walk into the theater, you can feel the warmth of the history.

Attached to the theater is the Coloinial Annex (Veteran's Corner), can be used for meetings, receptions, dances, just as a few examples.
