July is the warmest summer month, with temperatures rarely rising above 90ยบ F. In the winter, Asheville gets an annual average of 10 inches of snowfall, which covers the mountain tops in a blanket of white.

There are endless trails to explore along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and two of the area's most popular parks (Pisgah National Forest and Mount Mitchell State Park) border it! Both parks have miles of hiking and biking trails, scenic picnic areas as well as campgrounds if you want to stay overnight or
longer! Oh, and the winter, well, it's magical! There's  skiing, skating, snow boarding, winter fesitivities!  No better 
place to be over the holdays!
