Town of Boone No Mow May
Today is the official start day of #nomowmay2024 🌸🐝 Throughout the month of May, property owners are encouraged to not mow their properties to promote habitat growth for our pollinators 🐝 πŸ¦‹ If you see one of the Town of Boone's snazzy signs, that means that that area will not be mowed, or will be mowed less frequently, than normal to help our little friends have a great month of May! Removing invasive plants and leaf build-up allows these features to continue working as designed. We plan to host several volunteer workdays this spring and summer at the Southside Community Stormwater Project, so keep an eye on the RiverLink calendar and sign up to help us tend this beautiful space!...
