Rutherford County -- August 19, 2025: The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office is hosting its first annual Honorary Major Jamie Keever STAR Camp Golf Scramble Tournament on November 1, 2025, at the Meadow Brook Golf Club. This event will benefit STAR Camp, a 3-day camp, offered 3 weeks each summer, designed to help reinforce the lessons that were taught during the STAR Program to all Rutherford County 5th graders. This event is also a way to honor Major Jamie Keever who, while fighting his own battle with cancer, was instrumental in acquiring the grant funding that allowed us to launch STAR Camp in 2024.
The funds raised will go toward purchasing materials for the camp!
