APD Arrest Man in Stabbing Incident

Asheville -- August 19, 2025: Around 3:08 a.m. on this morning, officers were called to a report of a man being stabbed at a house on Atkinson Street.
The suspect had escaped by the time police arrived. The victim was sent to Mission Hospital for treatment after they discovered him with a severe knife wound to his arm. Officers found Harold Dudley Ervin (08/31/1965) on the front porch of a nearby home after swiftly identifying him.Ervin was taken into custody without incident and charged with Assault With a Deadly Weapon With Intent to Kill, Going Armed to the Terror of People, and Second Degree Trespass.Ervin was booked into the Buncombe C
