Asheville -- August 19. 2025: The Asheville-Buncombe Continuum of Care (CoC) is taking a dual-pronged approach to address homelessness in the region, launching a new, targeted initiative for West Asheville while also inviting new and existing members to a series of key upcoming events.
In response to a growing sense of urgency among residents and businesses, the CoC board voted on August 14, 2025, to form a working group dedicated specifically to West Asheville. The group will focus on proactive solutions to issues that have been "raising the flag a little higher," including open drug use, discarded syringes, and littering.
