Buncombe County -- October 16, 2025: The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) assisted the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) following a traffic incident this morning where two students were struck by a vehicle while waiting at a school bus stop in the T.C. Roberson District.
The incident occurred around 7:15 a.m. today, Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at the bus stop located at Bradley Branch Road and Founders Way. According to the BCSO, an intermediate and a middle school student were waiting for their bus when a driver turning into the neighborhood struck them with a vehicle.Both students were transported to the hospital with what were described as minor injuries.The Sheriff's Office reported that the driver initially left the scene but returned a short time later.S
