WNC -- September 14, 1015: Yesterday, the Reems Fire Department in Weaverville announced on social media the opening tomorrow of another part of the Blue Ridge Parkway:
We have received word that the Parkway will be opening Monday September 15th, all the way to Mt. Mitchell state park. What you need to know:**You will not be able to go past the State Park**All traffic muct come back down the parkway**Traffic will be more congested on Ox Creek Rd**The condition of the trails are not perfectWe anticipate heavy traffic up there.
