Ashevile -- December 8, 2025: City of Asheville Press Release: When did you join the Asheville Parks & Recreation (APR) team? I’ve always enjoyed working with people, and being a part of APR allows me to make a positive impact every day and give back to the same community that has helped shape who I am.
Whether I’m teaching a kid to tie their shoes, helping a teen with math homework, or loading water in a senior’s car, it’s rewarding to see how our programs bring people together and create lasting memories.I have been a part of the APR team since 2022, starting as a seasonal summer camp support staff member at Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Center and continued in a seasonal role working with the teen leadership program, assisting with skate nights, and facilitating community programs.
