City of Asheville: Volunteers for Bike & Pedestrian Data Collection

Asheville -- August 18, 2025: The Transportation Department of the City is preparing for its yearly data collection on bicycles and pedestrians. The week following Labor Day is when the bike and pedestrian data collecting takes place every year.
The information gathered is used to implement safety improvement projects, supports a number of GAP Plan action items, and identifies patterns in multimodal activity across the city.
