Clyde -- December 10. 2025: DEQ Partnership Brings $210K for Pigeon River Restoration as Part of State's Flood Blueprint: The Town of Clyde, a community in Western North Carolina frequently impacted by major flooding events, is poised to significantly boost its long-term resilience thanks to a critical infusion of state funding announced in December 2025.
The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) Flood Resiliency Blueprint program, in partnership with the North Carolina Land and Water Fund (NCLWF), has awarded $210,500 for the Pigeon River at Clyde Flood Resiliency Project.
