North Carolina -- December 20, 2025: Western North Carolina homeowners struggling to repair or rebuild after Hurricane Helene have been granted more time to seek state assistance. Governor Josh Stein’s office announced that the application deadline for the Renew NC Single-Family Housing Program (SFHP) has been extended to January 31, 2026.
