WNC -- December 3, 2025: Western North Carolina Homeowners Must Act Now to Apply for Renew NC Assistance: Time is rapidly running out for homeowners in Western North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene to secure vital housing recovery assistance.
The deadline to apply for Renew NC’s Single Family Housing Program (SFHP) is Tuesday, December 31, 2025.State officials are urging every eligible resident to submit their application this month to ensure they do not miss the opportunity to receive funding for major storm-related repairs.“Renew NC wants to help as many western North Carolina homeowners recover from Hurricane Helene as possible – but folks need to raise their hand so we can get it done,” said Governor Josh Stein in a press release
