Haywood County -- September 17, 2025: Haywood County Government Announced today much needed funding for their plan to place a weather radio in every flood-vunerable home in the county!
Thanks to a $10,000 donation from The Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free, and Accepted Masons of North Carolina, Haywood County Emergency Services is one step closer to putting a weather radio in every home in our community! This generous donation will purchase hundreds of radios.These AM/FM/NOAA Weather emergency radios will be distributed to flood-vulnerable residents by Emergency Services, in partnership with Haywood County NC Health and Human Services and local community partners.WNCTimesImage: Ha
