Sylva -- December 6, 2025: After years of delays stemming from right-of-way challenges, storms, and the COVID-19 pandemic, the long-planned overhaul of the U.S. 107 corridor (Project R-5600) in Sylva has reached a major milestone.
The $103 million contract was awarded to Buchanan & Sons Inc. of Whittier, a local WNC firm.
