Hendersonville -- December 18, 2025: City officials are monitoring water quality in the French Broad River Basin this week after a contractor error led to the discharge of over 100,000 gallons of untreated wastewater into local waterways.
The incident began on the evening of Tuesday, December 16, near 310 Williams Street. According to city reports, a contractor working on sewer system improvements inadvertently damaged a section of the infrastructure.
