North Carolina -- November 21, 2025: North Carolina Attorney General Jeff Jackson and a bipartisan coalition of eight other attorneys general have reached a $7 million settlement with Greystar Management LLC, the state's largest landlord, over allegations the company illegally used AI software to inflate rental prices. Greystar, which manages more than 25,000 units across North Carolina, was one of several defendants sued by Attorney General Jackson in January 2025 for allegedly working together and using RealPage's AI software to raise rents in violation of antitrust laws.
