Haywood County -- November 7, 2025: Haywood County Sheriff's Office announced a planned blasting event today.
East Coast Blasting and Drilling will be conducting two controlled blasts today at the Haywood Community College construction site located at 1684 Jones Cove Road.First blast: Around 11:00 a.m.Second blast: Around 2:00 p.m.Please be aware that these blasts may be heard and felt in nearby areas, including Clyde and around Haywood Regional Medical Center.
