Hickory, NC -- Press Release -- The City of Hickory had a discharge of untreated wastewater on 06/09/19 of an estimated 185,000 gallons at 2061 Snow Creek Road.  The untreated wastewater was discharged into Snow Creek.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina lawmakers will finally decide whether to override Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper’s veto of legislation that says doctors and nurses can be charged with a crime if they fail to care for an infant delivered during an unsuccessful abortion.

Asheville -- Asheville Police Department  has arrested Mark Wayne King (60), of Asheville, for two counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child. King has previously been convicted of this crime and is a registered sex offender.

May 8 around 12 PM, the local fire department noticed Amanda's white Toyota RAV-4 vehicle in the parking lot of the Kahakapao Trail. On this day it was not known that she was missing. On the next day when she was reported missing, it was located there with her belongings in it, her wallet and cell phone - but not her Teel Aasics running shoes.
