Get in the holiday spirit at our 4th Annual Ornament Release Party. A family-friendly event that has become a yearly tradition for both locals and out-of-towners. Free Range DJ will be spinning vintage holiday vinyl, Foundry Avl will be serving lattes and cappuccinos at their coffee cart and we'll have Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn at the bar! Make sure to get here early we only release 100 limited edition ornaments. Come out and enjoy the fun! This event will feature glassblowing demos, a giveaway, seasonal beer by Pisgah Brewing Company, hot cider, coffee, popcorn and holiday music. As always this is a FREE event open to the public, all are welcome!

Give the gift of employment by joining Asheville Express Employment Professionals’ 6th Pay It Forward Hiring Drive as we work to place 100 job seekers from November 5th through December 16th, 2018. Being out of work during the holidays can be particularly tough and we would like to make sure as many people as possible earn a paycheck just in time for the season of giving. Join us in our effort to help put 100 people to work in our community, bringing hope and encouragement to them and their families. Here’s How You Can Help 1.Hire an Express employee for at least one week between November 5 and December 16. Not only will you gain a qualified worker to help meet your needs, but that worker will earn a paycheck before the holidays. 2.For each Express employee hired, we will make a $10 donation to MANNA Food bank. A single $10 donation will provide 35 meals to those in need. 3.Share our campaign with other area businesses to assist us with our vision of employing and providing a paycheck for 100 unemployed people during the holiday season. Grovewood Gallery invites you to Eat, Drink & Be Merry - a showcase of artfully curated table settings for festive holiday entertaining, on view November 10 through December 31, 2018. Works will include ceramic tableware, wooden cutting boards, one-of-a-kind serving pieces, drinking vessels, and more - all displayed on handcrafted tables throughout the gallery. An opening celebration will take place on Saturday, November 10 from 2-5pm, where guests can enjoy locally crafted beverages from Noble Cider and Troy & Sons, as well as light appetizers from Golden Fleece Slow Earth Kitchen. This event is free and open to the public.
