Asheville, NC (June 14, 2021): Asheville Police Department detectives are investigating an armed robbery that happened early Monday morning.

A man told officers he was sleeping in his car with the windows down on Hilliard Avenue (near Clingman Avenue) and woke up to a gun pointed at him. 

This happened just after midnight. The victim said the man told him to get out of the car and then drove away with the victim's car.
