Hendersonville -- Ingles Down Home Tour featuring Kaitlyn Baker & Joe Lasher Jr

July 31 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
 Free

Two of country music’s brightest young stars showcase their music at Hendersonville’s Block Party on Main, Saturday, July 31. The free event features husband-and-wife Nashville recording artists Joe Lasher and Kaitlyn Baker, as part of The Down Home Tour Series presented by Ingles.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to The Storehouse. The Storehouse is a Christian-based food and hygiene pantry serving Henderson County since May 2000.  They have been delivering food to shut-in seniors for many years.

Headliner Joe Lasher grew up in nearby Weaverville. Touring the U.S. since age 16, Lasher has performed more than 500 live shows, including appearances with top country acts, such as Brett Young, Hardy and Old Dominion.

Lasher’s style is described as country-rock, influenced by legends like Rodney Atkin, Eric Church, Jon Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams. His four-song acoustic EP, “The Hurricane Mills Sessions,” was released in spring 2020.

Singer, songwriter Kaitlyn Baker draws inspiration from her raising in Appalachian coal country. Her soulful country tune “Blackbird” is racking up digital downloads nationally across all streaming platforms. Baker has opened for a slew of country greats including Brad Paisley, Craig Morgan, Travis Tritt and Tanya Tuck

Commodore Fox, a party band based out of Asheville, warms up the crowd with favorites from Motown, classic rock and country.

The block of Main Street in front of the Visitor Center will be closed to traffic. Food vendors will be on hand and attendees may bring lawn chairs. The seating area opens at 5:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m.
