Man wanted for escape in a Buncombe County Sheriff's vehicle arrested

Buncombe County -- Buncombe County Sheriff's the arrest of a man reported 08/13/2021 who escapeda in a  sheriff's vehicle 

Update:
Mr. Wilson was arrested last night without incident and is currently in custody at the Buncombe County Detention Center with a $120,000.00 secure bond.
Subsequent to our investigation,
Christopher Brandon Wilson has been charged with:
Two Counts of Felony Larceny
Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
Felony Flee to Elude
Larceny of a Firearm
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Identity Theft
Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Manufacture/Sell/ or Deliver
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Driving While License Revoked
Resist, Delay, or Obstruct a Public Officer.
Mr. Wilson was detained the morning of 08/12/21 at 1480 Riverside Drive as the suspect of Motor Vehicle Investigation that occurred on 08/11/21. While in custody in the back of a patrol vehicle with locked doors, the suspect maneuvered his way through the vehicle partition to the driver's seat and proceeded to drive away with the patrol vehicle. Buncombe County Dispatch maintained the location of the patrol vehicle which was abandoned a few miles away on Ben Lippen Rd.

(August 12, 2021) –
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s is attempting to locate Christopher Brandon Wilson. Wilson is described as a male with gray and black hair and a partially unshaven mohawk. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with plaid shorts and green shoes. Wilson also has a Hello Kitty tattoo on his right wrist and an owl with trees on his left forearm.
Wilson is charged with:
Larceny of Motor Vehicle
Resist Delay and Obstruct
Flee to Elude Arrest
