TS Fred Road Advisory
August 24, 2021

Please be advised that until further notice the speed limit on U.S. 276 / Cruso Road in Haywood County between the Blue Ridge Parkway and N.C. 110 will temporarily be set at 35 mph during Tropical Storm Fred recovery to increase safety and to protect the integrity of the road.
Drivers should also expect that the Chinquapin Road bridge in Cruso will be closed intermittently to facilitate ongoing repairs.
The Chinquapin Bridge will be closed Wednesday night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

**There will be a FedEx truck in the parking lot of Dollar general from 11:00 am to 4:30pm tomorrow. They have over 250 packages from over 175 stops they haven’t been able to make in a week. Anyone in Cruso area who thinks they are missing a delivery can go there to retrieve their packages.

Currently local donation centers are overflowing with supplies and food for flood relief. If you want to help, donations of money are very welcome.
Individual and matching fund donations help ensure that our friends and neighbors affected by the flood have help for the long haul. The United Way of Haywood County is managing monetary donations for flood relief and recovery.

If you are currently relying on a generator to provide power to your home, please be safe! Generator exhaust is toxic and can kill you. ALWAYS run generators outside away from doors, windows, and vents.
