Asheville -- Tuesday September 7, 2021 Asheville Police Department are asking for help from the public.

David Layton Peebles has two warrants Assault with a Vehicle. Peebles allegedly ran over the tire manager of the Discount Store in Asheville. Full details of the incident, description of the suspect and photo are provided in their report:

#Update We are asking for help to locate David Layton Peebles who has 2 open warrants in connection to an Assault with a Vehicle. Peebles was identified as the person responsible for running over the Discount Store tire manager who confronted him as he was attempting to steal tires. The original incident location occurred at the store on Bleachery Boulevard. Peebles has open warrants for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Reckless Driving. Detectives need your help to locate Peebles.
He is described as a white man, 5'08", 235 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. He is likely driving a 2008 Toyota Highlander, black in color, with North Carolina temporary tag VV64407.
