Buncombe County -- November 2, 2021: Buncombe County Health and Human Services and community partners will host

a Let’s Talk- Children's COVID-19 Vaccines, a parent-led, community-centered discussion about vaccines for children 5-11 years old. This timely discussion is geared towards families and caregivers who have questions about the vaccine. The goal of creating a safer community for all residents, including the youngest members of our community, is a shared responsibility. To this end, medical providers, public health experts, and parents will be a part of this discussion to provide the facts about the vaccine and address the concerns of those who still have questions.

Ensuring that community members have the information they need to protect themselves and their families has been a priority in our response throughout the pandemic. With the ability to provide vaccines for our youngest residents, we want to make sure that people have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about local options for vaccination.

Let’s Talk- 5-11 Vaccines will be live-streamed on Tuesday, November 9th, at 5:30 PM in English on the Buncombe County Government Facebook page (@buncombeGov) and in Spanish on the Buncombe County Health and Human Services Facebook page (@bchhs). This event will also be interpreted into American Sign Language.
