How to resolve AdBlock issue? 
Henderson County Schools -- Effective Tuesday, Jan. 11, all Henderson County Public Schools students, staff,
and visitors will be required to wear face coverings in all indoor settings during scheduled instructional hours.
On Monday, Jan. 10, the board voted to reinstitute the face covering requirement in an effort to maintain the current in-person learning environment and slow the spread of the new variant in the community.
This policy change was approved by the Henderson County Board of Public Education at their regularly scheduled meeting this evening.
District administrators and school board members remain committed to monitoring community health trends and adjusting school system operations in the interest of student, staff, and public health. As always, our instructional “Return to Learn” plans will continue to be evaluated and refined based on current health data, as well as federal, state, and local guidelines.
Any additional changes will be communicated to HCPS families via SwiftK12 emails and phone calls. Current district plans are also updated online at www.HCPSNC.org/ReturnToLearn.
NOTE: The initial alert messages sent to families incorrectly included a mask requirement for indoor extracurricular activities. The face covering requirement approved by the board at tonight’s meeting applies ONLY to the instructional day at all HCPS sites.
