Henderson County -- April 7, 2022:  An anonymous bomb threat was called into the Henderson County E-911 CenterThursday morning at around 8 a.m. at North Henderson High. At approximately 7:55 a.m. HCPS and law enforcement were notified

of a suspicious package at North Henderson High. All students and staff at Apple Valley Middle School in the building and North Henderson High School students that were already on campus were evacuated. All students and staff on campus are safe.

At 9:30 p.m Henderson County Schools update that there will be a 3-phase dismissal of North and Apple Valley students today.  Attendance will be taken before students are permitted to leave campus.  Students will have to leave campus the same way they came to school today.  For count accuracy,  drivers may not drive additional students home in their personal vehicles unless they are siblings in the same household.

The Following explained the 3 Phases

Phase 1 @ 9:45 a.m.: Student drivers and their siblings (at North or Apple Valley) in the same household ONLY will be the first to leave campus.
Phase 2 @ 10:30 a.m.: Student bus riders will load their normal buses, and ride their normal routes home.
Phase 3: Remaining students will be taken to a reunification location (TBD) to be united with parents/guardians. The time and location will be communicated to parents and guardians in a message later this morning.
Again, students must leave campus the same way they came to school today; student drivers will drive their personal vehicles home, and bus riders will ride home.
