Asheville -- April 28th, 2022 --  Investigators with the Asheville Police Department are still looking for answers in the homicide case of a young man who was shot in front of his family's home in Asheville almost two years ago.

Kanize Jackson was 20 years old when he was shot in front of his Buffalo Street residence at 7:22 p.m. on August 5, 2020. Kanize's birthday would have been on Thursday,  he would have been 22 years old.

Detectives with the APD'S  Criminal Investigations Division are appealing for information that would help bring justice to the Jackson family and closure to his mother.

Investigators said there are multiple people in the neighborhood who know what happened on Buffalo Street that night, and they want those people to come forward.
