Burke County Sheriff's Officers Find Body Armor, Drugs, Guns

Burke County -- July 17, 2022: NC Probation & Parole Officers requested help from the Burke County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division on June 28, 2022, after discovering a small quantity of methamphetamine during

a warrantless search of the residence of Henry Dwayne Autrey, located at 9530 View Drive, Hickory. Additionally, probation and parole officers discovered a weapon in the possession of convicted felon Oren Lee Spencer, III.

Once on the scene, investigators assisted in a search of the residence, locating  approximately 4.73 pounds of methamphetamine, 842 Oxycodone tablets, 10 firearms (handguns, rifles and shotguns), body armor, drug paraphernalia and US currency all in the possession of Autrey who is currently on probation. Autrey was arrested and charged with (F) Trafficking Methamphetamine Level III, (F) PWISD Methamphetamine, (F) Possession of Methamphetamine, (F) Maintaining a Dwelling for CS, (F) Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon,(F) Trafficking Opiates Level III and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He received a $155,000.00 secured bond with a first appearance set for June 30, 2022. 

Spencer was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon. Spencer received a $25,000.00 secured bond and a first appearance set for June 30, 2022.
