Asheville -- November 15, 2022: Detectives from the Asheville Police Department are investigating a robbery and severe attack that took place in downtown

Asheville early on Thursday morning.

Around 6:15 a.m. on November 10, APD Patrol Officers arrived in the Pack Square area to look into a report of a violent assault and robbery. When the police arrived, they found the victim, who had obvious head and facial injuries. After becoming separated from his company and making his way back to his hotel through the downtown area, he reported
that he had been robbed and assaulted.
To receive medical attention for his injuries, the victim was sent to Mission Hospital.
During the initial inquiry, it was discovered that a stolen credit card had been used at a nearby store, and police were able to identify two individuals from surveillance footage. Police were able to locate the suspects near North Ann Street where they were riding a dirt bike and a moped. The pair is still unknown at this moment.
