How to resolve AdBlock issue? 
Moore County -- Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields stated at a press conference on Sunday that
the majority of Moore County citizens were affected by the power outages.
The outages started on Saturday soon after 7 p.m. according to Fields, Moore County substations sustained significant damage from firearms.
"We faced something last night, here in Moore County, that we've never faced before," the county's sheriff, Ronnie Fields, said at a press conference on Sunday afternoon. "But I promise you, we are going to get through this, and we are going to get through this together."
There was no mention of a suspect or the circumstances behind the substation's damaged handgun.
Moore County is under a 9 p.m. curfew in addition to the state of emergency. Residents of the county have access to a shelter if they require it.
In order to complete repairs and bring back service for all impacted customers, Duke Energy claims that its technicians are working 24-hour shifts. They do, however, estimate that the entire procedure will take many days to complete. The corporation claims that the incident resulted in damage to numerous substantial and important pieces of equipment.
All campuses will be closed on Monday, according to an announcement from Moore County Schools, which said it will decide on the rest of the week as things change each day.
According to Fields, the sheriff's office and federal investigators are still looking into this occurrence and have not been able to connect anything to the gunfire. He thinks the shooting was premeditated and not accidental.

North Carolina Emergency Management, state and local law enforcement officials are working in a coordinated response with Duke Energy to restore power as quickly as possible after widespread power outages in Moore County last night. State and federal law enforcement are on the ground and have begun investigating in coordination with local law enforcement.
“I appreciate the swift response from local and state emergency responders in Moore County to protect public safety and work with Duke Energy to restore power,” said Governor Cooper. “An attack like this on critical infrastructure is a serious, intentional crime and I expect state and federal authorities to thoroughly investigate and bring those responsible to justice. Moore County has strong, vibrant communities and the state will continue to provide transportation and public safety assistance.”
Saturday evening, incidents at two Duke Energy substations caused widespread power outages throughout Moore County. State resources assisting in the response include:

Alcohol Law Enforcement
North Carolina State Highway Patrol
State Bureau of Investigation
State and federal law enforcement are on the ground in Moore County and working with local law enforcement to investigate the incidents that caused the outages, including that gunfire damaged systems at the facilities.
Moore County officials declared a local state of emergency, implemented a temporary curfew of 9pm in the county and opened a temporary shelter on Sunday afternoon. The Red Cross is assisting with the shelter. Additionally, Moore County schools will be closed on Monday. State Emergency Management and Public Safety officials will continue to provide support until power is restored.
“The NC Department of Public Safety is working with our local and federal law enforcement partners and will provide the appropriate state resources needed to assist in this investigation,” stated NCDPS Secretary, Eddie M. Buffaloe, Jr.
“North Carolina Emergency Management is working with local and state agencies to provide the needed resources for the safety of Moore County residents impacted by the power outage,” said Will Ray, Director of North Carolina Emergency Management.
