Rutherford County -- February 14, 2023: On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, Sgt. Joey Brandle and Deputy Ensley
from the Rutherford

County Sheriff's Office were doing patrols along Ellenboro Henrietta Road near the Dobbinsville Community. Deputies stopped a truck that was driving with a fake license plate. During the traffic stop, deputies asked the Polk County Sheriff's Office's K9 Jumper and the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office's Narcotics Unit for help.
When K9 Jumper got to the scene, he took a free sniff of the car's air and reacted to the smell of drugs. Deputies did a search and found Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and two sets of digital scales.
The driver, Cody Ryan Rollins, 25, of Spindale, and the passenger, Julius Tyrone Miller, 51, of Rutherfordton, were both arrested and charged:

Cody Ryan Rollins:
Trafficking Methamphetamine
Trafficking, Opium or Heroin
Maintaining a Vehicle for a Controlled Substance
Possess Drug Paraphernalia
Driving While License Revoked Operate Vehicle with No Insurance
Fictitious Registration Plate
He was given a $225,000 secured bond.
Julius Tyrone Miller:
Trafficking Methamphetamine
Trafficking, Opium or Heroin
Simple Possess of Schedule VI Controlled Substance
Possess Drug Paraphernalia
He was given a $200,000 secured bond.
