The current flow of traffic will be switched to the median, and a brand-new temporary exit ramp for Exit 49A (U.S. 64 West) into Hendersonville's downtown will be made available.

The I-26 expansion project, which will be finished in the spring of 2025, will reduce traffic and improve travel times. These works are a part of that project.

Transportation authorities advise drivers to be cautious, vigilant, and to respect all traffic signs as they enter and leave the work zone.
