  4. Waynesville Police Find Body of Man Found Under Bridge

Waynesville -- April 19, 2023: Waynesville Police announced in a press release the discovery
of a body  while responding to a call Tuesday.

Police were responding to a call when the body of a white male was found under a bridge which connects 
Autumn Care of Waynesville to Old Balsam Road. They were able to identify the person and were working to
notify the next of kin. He was not a resident of Autumn Care.

The investigation is ongoing, any further information will be realeased when it becomes available.

    Come meet new people and explore Asheville’s Greenways with the Greenway Walking Club. We welcome people of all ages, sizes, and cultural backgrounds. The goal of this club is to connect people while walking your way to better health. Mileage won’t be the priority, rather seeing how far we can walk, out and back as a group, in the allotted time. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
    5/22 - French Broad River Greenway West II - Meets at the French Broad River Park and walk, out and back, along the French Broad River towards New Belgium Brewery.
