  4. APD ID Body Found in French Broad River

Asheville -- May 6, 2023:The body found in the French Broad River on May 3 near Riverside Drive was
identified as Trinity Hyde Batchelor, age 35, by authorities on Friday, May 5.

WNCTimes reported yesterday the Asheville Fire Department pulled a body from the river after kyakers reported
seeing what they believed to be a body floating.

The next of kin of Batchelor have been informed, according to a representative for the Asheville Police Department.

No foul play is suspected at this time.
