Woman Arrested in Threats Against ICC Event

Rutherford County -- November 1, 2023: On Tuesday, Rutherford County Sheriff's filed criminal charges against an individual who allegedly made threatening phone calls to Isothermal Community College.

These calls resulted in the cancellation of a community event called "Paint the Campus Blue," which was scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2023. 

Danielle Parker Gossett, a resident of Marion, North Carolina, was arrested and faces  two (2) Felony counts of Making a False Report of an Act of Mass Violence to Occur on Educational Property, and one (1) count Felony Obstructing Justice.

After the arrest, Gossett appeared before a magistrate who set a court date for an initial appearance hearing and to set conditions of release. 

Gossett was released from custody on a $25,000 unsecured bond.
