Macon County -- November 28, 2023: Following the discovery of more than six pounds of drugs and numerous firearms in Macon County, the Macon County Sheriff's Office reported that a man is being charged with several crimes.

A nearby business reported that they believed the suspect, Phillip Black, was taking drugs in their restroom, prompting deputies to launch an investigation on November 24.

Deputies said that when they got to the scene, they wouldn't let Black go because they thought he was intoxicated.

Eventually, according to deputies, they searched Black's car and discovered two weapons, about 2.36 oz of suspected heroin, and about 6.6 pounds of suspected methamphetamine.

Phillip Craig Black has been charged with:
- 2 counts of Trafficking Methamphetamine
- 2 counts of Trafficking Opium/Heroin
- PWIMSD Methamphetamine
- PWIMSD Heroin
- Possession of Firearm by Felon
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Black is being held on a $1,500,000 bond.
